Ethereum Classic Price Analysis of the Last 24 Hours
ETC price action began at $16 yesterday. After an initial spike and a correction, an upward trend formed, ETC was seen testing the $16.3 resistance. However, it kept rejecting ETC’s advances as a trading range formed with $16.15 as the lower boundary. After its initial attempt at the resistance, ETC returned to $16.15 and attempted to test it again. However, the rejection at 6:20 UTC led to a downtrend forming, corroborated by a 6:30 death cross. Initially, the downtrend was gradual, leading to a downward ETC breakout out of the trading range.

At first, ETC slumped to $16.07, but the bearish pressure eventually led it to test the $16 support level. The downtrend continued despite oversold conditions on the RSI, calling for a reversal. However, the bearish pressure didn’t allow ETC to recover as ETC slumped further, falling to $15.71 by 17:00 UTC, thanks to the 15:00 death cross. The coin was heavily oversold, as indicated by the RSI. A sharp reversal was expected, but the uptrend was rejected at $15.8. The Ethereum Classic token consolidated around $15.7. But the bears remained dominant, and a death cross formed on the MACD at 21:00 UTC, leading the price to $15.60 by midnight.
Ethereum Classic Price Performance on April 22
The bearish pressure continued to dictate the ETC price movement today as well. A death cross was seen early on during the day, ETC slumped to $15.45 in the first 30 minutes. With the RSI indicating near oversold levels once again, a trend reversal followed as ETC quickly ascended to $15.71. However, the bullish trend was short-lived, as it faced a quick and sharp reversal with the 3:00 UTC death cross. A downtrend formed, leading ETC down to find support at $15.35. This level also marked the 24-H low for the token. However, it is worth noting that the upturn right after was strong, ETC was last seen trading at $15.74
ETC Price Prediction: Can ETC Edge Past $16 Today?
$16 has been a significant psychological barrier for ETC in the past month. Since it relinquished the $17 price tag early in April, it has been difficult for ETC to reach beyond $16. Even today, price action started above $16, but ETC has gone on to have a dismal showing on the charts. Investors would be looking forward to the community call to stir up some ETC price action. If the bullish trend can push the ETC price past this barrier, further gains would be easier. With that in mind, the Ethereum Classic token looks poised to test the current support once again. We may see some positive price movements if the support holds ETC for the initial tests.
