EveLab Insight drew global attention at VivaTech 2025 with a new AI-powered skincare system that tracks wrinkles in motion. The company, known for its skin analysis tools, launched a new AI that tracks wrinkles as people move. From June 11 to 14 in Paris, EveLab ran live demos that showed how skin shifts during expression. The tech helps brands detect aging signs earlier and tailor skincare routines based on real-time skin behavior.
“Most systems only look at the surface,” said Yolanda Ching, Head of Global Sales & Marketing. “We’re looking at what happens beneath movement.” That difference could change how skin health is understood, especially for those aiming to catch early signs of aging before they become permanent.
From Still Images to AI That Watches Skin in Motion
EveLab Insight’s new feature shifts skin analysis from static snapshots to real-time observation. The AI scans facial actions like smiling, frowning, or squinting, and tracks wrinkles as they briefly appear and fade. It spots expression lines, like crow’s feet and forehead creases, which show up before deeper texture changes set in. By analyzing these micro-patterns, the system offers a deeper look into how skin ages and adapts to movement.
“Skin isn’t static, so analysis shouldn’t be either,” said Ching. The tool uses video data and AI modeling to create what EveLab calls a “skin aging timeline.” It merges current appearance with movement-based insights to suggest more accurate care. Unlike older tools, which only offer a frozen view, EveLab’s system aims to track how skin behaves over time, bringing skin wellness closer to behavioral science.
New Data Brings New Possibilities and Challenges
The real-time wrinkle detection has already drawn attention from major beauty brands. At VivaTech, top executives and investors praised the tool’s clarity and responsiveness during live demos. Many noted how it could deepen brand-customer relationships through better consultations.
EveLab says the system is used in over 4,500 retail spaces worldwide, across spas and skincare stores. The company works with more than 200 partners, including Shiseido, Sulwhasoo, and Dr. Barbara Sturm. It’s found in spas, flagships, and pop-ups, delivering on-site skin assessments with AI support. The tool delivers on-the-spot skin readings so brands can respond to how skin behaves, not just how it looks.
Still, scaling such a system isn’t simple. Real-time video capture requires higher hardware standards and faster processing. Some beauty consultants may also need extra training to interpret dynamic results. EveLab plans to expand the feature into more global markets later this year. It also hopes to feed its dynamic skin data into broader AI models to improve predictions on skin aging.
Wrinkle-Reading AI Marks a Shift in Beauty Tech
EveLab Insight’s launch at VivaTech 2025 signals more than just a product upgrade; it points to a shift in skin analysis itself. The new tool makes beauty more responsive by capturing how skin reacts, not just how it looks. That difference matters for brands looking to offer real personalization, not just product placement.
With dynamic wrinkle detection, EveLab blends health science, motion tracking, and AI modeling into a single system. It also puts skin aging on a measurable path, helping users and professionals spot issues before they deepen. As beauty brands race to stay ahead in AI wellness, EveLab’s move puts behavior-based diagnostics on the map and closer to daily skincare routines.
