
The Health Ministry of Malaysia (KKM) is working on an AI dengue prediction tool. Its purpose is to specifically combat the rising number of dengue cases in the country. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad gave this update during a Dewan Rakyat session. He added that dengue has killed more people this year than COVID-19 combined. Health Minister Dr. Dzulkefly stated that the primary causes of the increasing number of dengue outbreaks are still Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. There have only been 21 deaths from dengue currently, compared to 117 from last year and only one from COVID-19.
