Delhi Public School (DPS) Indirapuram has taken a front step by opening a high-tech AI Robotics Lab. The lab was founded by Aman Gupta, a co-founder of boAt and alumnus of DPS RK Puram. It aims to bridge theoretical learning with practical AI applications. With expert trainers from Jordan and partnerships with global tech firms, it is tailored to raise students for the upgrading world of AI and robotics.
How Does AI Robotics Shape Students’ Future?
The AI Robotics Lab was set up to enable students to learn the details of AI-driven machines. The lab has robotic arms, Arduino and Python kits, and drones. This initiative aligns with India’s national education policy by adding AI to the curriculum.
Since AI is mandatory for students from class 6 to class 10, the lab introduces the technology at an early age. This helps students build a strong foundation in artificial intelligence. Notably, there is no extra fee for using the lab, despite heavy investments in infrastructure and equipment.
Global Partnerships Fuel DPS Indirapuram’s AI Ambitions
DPS Indirapuram sourced advanced equipment and highly qualified trainers in partnership with enterprises from the US, China, and Dubai, including EdNex. These professionals, especially those from Jordan, are training teachers year-round on how to deliver AI-based modules effectively. Trainers will also assess student progress to keep the learning outcomes aligned with global standards.
One of the lab’s notable features includes computers running Nvidia Jetson, designed specifically for edge AI tasks and robotics development. According to Dana Alsani from EdNex, the goal is to ensure that by grade 8, students are proficient in Python and ready to work on real-world AI challenges. Alsani clarified that humanoid robots in the lab can perform semi-autonomous tasks and are fully programmable for project-based learning.
The lab has already generated excitement across the campus. Principal Priya Elizabeth John shared that the initiative sparked interest among students and faculty even before the hands-on sessions began. Teachers have been undergoing training in AI and are gradually becoming proficient in guiding students through AI systems.
Is DPS Indirapuram Setting New AI Education Standards?
DPS Indirapuram plans to send students to international AI competitions and promote innovation-driven learning. The lab will serve as a foundation for students to explore industrial-level AI, preparing them not just academically but for careers in next-gen tech fields. The focus is on holistic, skill-based learning, with the project-based trainers and skilled mentors.
The school board sees the AI Robotics Lab as a sustainable ecosystem, continuously upgraded with the latest tools. This academic year, nearly 800,000 students in CBSE schools have chosen artificial intelligence in grades 11 and 12. DPS Indirapuram is setting a benchmark for how schools can deliver advanced artificial intelligence education without a financial burden on parents.
Bottom Line: DPS Indirapuram Champions Future AI Learning
The initiation of the AI Robotics Lab is more than just a facility launch. This symbolizes a cultural and academic shift in how schools in India approach tech education. DPS Indirapuram has focused on hands-on training, global partnerships, and inclusive learning models. This approach has positioned the school as a leader in humanoid robot education and artificial intelligence. As the AI space evolves, this progressive institution is ready to unlock limitless possibilities through the AI Robotics Lab
