Edtech firm Intellipaat has rolled out India’s first DevSecOps program powered by Generative and Agentic AI. The new course targets working professionals and fresh graduates eager to gain hands-on skills in secure and autonomous DevOps systems. With over 8,000 DevOps learners trained so far, Intellipaat is known for helping people switch to high-demand tech careers. This latest upgrade responds to a growing shift in how companies build, monitor, and secure digital systems.
“DevOps isn’t just about automation anymore,” said Diwakar Chittora, Founder and CEO of Intellipaat. “It’s now about intelligent, self-healing systems that can secure themselves while running 24/7.” The program aims to fill a gap in the Indian job market, where AI and security skills are quickly becoming non-negotiable for engineering roles across startups and enterprises alike.
Security-First DevOps Meets AI Automation
The newly launched DevSecOps program includes three advanced tracks: DevSecOps tools, Generative AI, and Agentic AI frameworks. It is India’s first structured curriculum to blend these areas in one offering. In the DevSecOps track, learners work with tools like Gitleaks, Open Policy Agent, and AWS Vault to embed security into every phase of software development.
These tools help catch risks early and reduce breaches before code goes live. The Generative AI section trains learners to use large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Copilot. These are used to write Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automate CI/CD pipelines, and even query cloud tools using plain English.
Agentic AI, which refers to AI systems that can observe, reason, and act independently, is a standout feature. Tools like LangChain, OpenDevin, and ReAct allow learners to simulate bots that fix incidents and deploy updates, with little human input. “Security can’t be an afterthought anymore,” Chittora added. “This course teaches how to bake it into everything from day one.”
Upskilling for the Future, but Hurdles Remain
Intellipaat says the program has already drawn interest from major firms, including TCS, HCL, and Wipro. It comes as job descriptions increasingly call for skills in AI for Ops, security automation, and autonomous system management. Some Intellipaat learners have seen quick payoffs. One recent graduate landed a DevOps role within three months of completing the course.
Others have used their training to shift from support roles into cloud and site reliability positions. Still, the technology stack is new, and not every company is ready to embrace agentic systems. Many IT teams remain wary of fully autonomous tools, especially when it comes to production-level environments.
“There’s excitement, but also hesitation,” said one program mentor. “Enterprises want assurance that these AI systems are reliable, testable, and secure before they go live.” To build trust, the program emphasizes transparency. Learners are taught how AI makes decisions and how to audit system behavior in real time.
Intellipaat Signals a Larger Shift in Tech Learning
With this launch, Intellipaat is betting big on what the next wave of tech education will look like. The move aligns with the company’s broader goals, including its recent launch of the Intellipaat School of Technology, a full-time AI-age engineering school.
The new DevSecOps program sets the tone for what professional upskilling may require in the AI era: hands-on skills, security-first thinking, and tools that learn and act. As more companies race toward intelligent infrastructure, training like this may not stay optional for long. Intellipaat’s latest step shows how fast tech roles are evolving, and what today’s learners must do to keep up.
