AI Empowerment – Apple & OpenAI Plan iPhone Renewal

In the present digitized world, vast majority of people accept that Open AI has dramatically influenced the technology by smoothly embedding AI into many aspects of our everyday life. Its influence ranges from smartphones to a variety of other areas of life, demonstrating AI’s ubiquity. It is worth mentioning that Apple has also joined the technology bandwagon. Consequently, the Apple and Open AI collaboration leads to the incorporation of GenAi advanced features back to the Apple iPhone.

OpenAI, a startup that focuses on artificial intelligence, has reportedly been engaged in discussions with Apple Inc. as the tech giant prepares for the release of its next-generation iPhone, which is expected to hit the market during the next business quarter.

It has been revealed that insiders familiar with the deal have disclosed the companies have commenced discussions to iron out the plans for Apple’s next generation of its iOS operating system, version 18, which is to be autonomous of advanced OpenAI capabilities, dependent on the recent cutting-edge generative AI technology and neural network upgrades.

When approached by Reuters with inquiries, Apple and Open AI responded in similar ways. According to Bloomberg, talks between the two companies started a month ago, providing an option of integration of Gemini, known as a licensed technology from OpenAI, into the future iPhone functionalities.

Bloomberg said in sources that Apple has not yet finalized agreements and is exploring the possibility of partnering with OpenAI or Alphabet Inc’s Google, among other major companies. Microsoft and Google have been more willing to make use of natural language responses to textual prompts than Apple. Even so, at the moment, Apple is below two of these firms.

On Twitter, Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, told the whole world that the company is putting its best efforts into AI research to bring generative capabilities. He said that they are going to demonstrate the implementation of different interaction models which apparently will be sometime by the end of this year.
