WhatsApp, the popular messaging application under Meta’s ownership, has recently introduced a new feature for users in India: Meta AI. This cutting-edge technology, being driven by a Large Language Model created by the parent company Meta, is now gaining popularity in India as many users have the Meta AI icon in their main list.
Meta AI is a major advance in the field of artificial intelligence, granting to users the opportunity to converse over a rich variety of subjects at their leisure. Whether it is the Q&A, recommendations, or just casual ‘conversations’, I can envision Meta AI will play a very big part in this aspect.
Now, the Meta AI feature is just available in certain countries which is fully supporting only English. A notification appears whenever a user begins a chat session with Meta AI: “The responses of Meta AI and other characters were generated by artificial intelligence (AI) through Meta platform’s service in response to the prompts you sent to the AI.”
Moreover, the platform is current in Meta AI reads and reacts only to the chats that contain @Meta AI thus restricts the tool to access other conversations through the chat. Also, another figure calms users with a statement in the prompt: “Your personal messages and calls are still end-to-end encrypted, therefore, no one, be it WhatsApp or Facebook, can access or listen to them.”
